Subject	Invitation to National Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Training for National Trainers-ToTs

The Directorate of In-Service Training and Lifelong
Learning (DITaLL), through the INSET Unit and in collaboration with the
Learning Mastermind (LM) Team, is pleased to invite your unit to participate in
the upcoming National Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Training of
Trainers (ToT).

This training forms a critical part of the Ministry of
Basic and Secondary Education’s (MoBSE) preparations for the nationwide rollout
of the FLN programme in the 2026/2027 academic year. It is designed to strengthen foundational learning outcomes and ensure the effective
implementation of revised literacy and numeracy pedagogical approaches in
schools. 

Venue: Soma Proper Lower Basic School (LBS)

Schedule:

• Foundational
  Numeracy ToT:
  5th – 7th October 2026

• Foundational
  Literacy ToT:
  13th – 15th October 2026

The sessions will equip National Trainers (NTs) with the
essential knowledge, skills, and facilitation techniques required to deliver
the FLN programme effectively. Participants will be oriented on the new
instructional materials, pedagogical approaches, and implementation strategies
supporting the national rollout.

As key members of the MoBSE FLN Technical Committee,
invited units are requested to present an overview of their office’s specific
roles, responsibilities, and key expectations regarding the programme's
implementation.
