Integrated EdTech Solutions -Improving Quality and Relevance

As anchored in the Education Policy (2016-2030), the Quality and Relevance of Teaching and Learning will be addressed through the various sub-themes such as Curriculum, teaching and Learning materials, Assessment, Early Literacy and Numeracy Skills, Foundational Learning, School Agriculture, School Library Services, Teacher Training (In-Service and Pre-service), Life Skills Education Programme, Science, Technology and Innovation, Monitoring and Supervision, and Pre-Vocational/TVET, among others.

As part of this policy pronouncement, Information and Communications Technologies  is be leveraged to support the digitisation of learning resources, enhance teacher support and implement hybrid coaching solutions to improve the children's learning experiences.

The Integration of EdTech is an integral solution, especially the Foundational Learning programme, to strengthen teaching, learning, administration, and data-driven decision-making through a structured, system-level digital tools. The Learning Management System (LMS) platform is organised around building the core digital infrastructure, digitised teaching and learning materials, enhancing instructional quality through interactive content, and developing capacity across national, regional, school-level, and classroom levels.

Invitation to the Finalisation of Technology Framework, and Expanded Matrix on Operational Procedures to Support Foundational Learning

The Science and Technology Education Directorate (STED) presents its compliments. It extends its sincere appreciation for your Directorate's active participation and valuable contributions during the Validation Meeting and subsequent follow-up review sessions on the Governance Structure and Technology Framework.

Following the incorporation of recommendations and inputs received from participating Directorates, STED hereby invites your Directorate (All Unit Heads and one IT Officer) to a final validation meeting of the revised documents.

The meeting is slated for Thursday, 18th June 2026, at the CREDD Conference Hall, Kanifing, from 9: 00 AM to 4:00 PM.

One-Day Validation Meeting on the Governance Structure to Support Foundational Learning

Science and Technology Education Directorate (STED) of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) hereby invites two officers who are specialised in the following areas (ICT, Numeracy or Literacy, Data Management and Reporting, Assessment or Teacher Training on professional matters) in your Directorate to participate in the validation.

The purpose of the convergence is to review and validate the proposed Governance Structure
aimed at improving coordination, accountability, operational management, and sustainability of
EdTech Solution to support foundational learning initiatives within MoBSE.
