In-Service Education and Training (INSET) Unit

The In-Service Education and Training (INSET) Unit is responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes for teachers and education personnel across the sector. The Unit supports the improvement of teaching quality and learner outcomes through the design and delivery of in-service training, professional learning opportunities, mentoring, coaching, and capacity-building initiatives.

The Unit shall identify teacher training needs, coordinate the development of training programmes and materials, promote the integration of innovative teaching methodologies and educational technologies, and support the implementation of national education reforms. INSET shall also collaborate with relevant directorates, teacher training institutions, development partners, and professional associations to strengthen teacher competencies and promote lifelong professional learning.
